Atelier Barbara Navarro

Paris based artist Barbara Navarro and César, we were celebrating their successful collaboration for the Fire Sculpture (look in "Hear Music") project.  I first saw Barbara's work at Grace Teshima's Montmartre gallery and became firm friends with both of them!  Barbara is a true inspiration and an amazing artist and activist for ecological issues.  She travels to the Amazon to work with the Yanomami, hunter-gatherer communities living in the forest on the border of Brazil and Venezuela.  This year is her 10th trip.

We made her put on this headress for the photographs, her apartment and atelier is packed with amazing artefacts.
