La Grande Epicerie

Shakespeare_12 La Grande Epicerie is a wonderful place for foodies with a sense of adventure, (maybe not the place to do the weekly shop though).

This is the best supermarket (if one could tag it with such a lowly name) in Paris for finding treats from home but the French produce is more than mouth-watering.

Also, a great place to scout for good-looking single men and women.

From Jeann Robineau by email: Let me tell you on the top of my list was the grand epicure so you must know that I had to hold my heart learning that it was right at the end of your street!!! I went there just about every day - telling my self not to get overwhelmed!! I mean there's a whole section just for salt!! and the cheese the cheese the cheese the pate's everything you know you know i was falling over I spent just about all my money in that store :))

I wish I got so enthusiastic about food! But how do you know there are lots of good-looking single men and women over there? You can see what kind of taste the person has, imagine if you could share meals together, right?

they are sexy and well dressed, i don't care what they have in their baskets. Nominally a good bottle of champagne and some overpriced but delicious snacks I guess.
