Paris' Vintage Clothing and "Stock Shops"
George Barbier, "Le Grand Décolletage" from Le Bonheur du Jour ou Les Graces à la Mode, Paris: Chez Meynial, 1924.
Paris is not in the same league as London for vintage clothing, but there are a few good shops for us fashion fanatics who prefer the genius of yester-year - but be prepared to pay. You can also try stock shops, see my article on Gridskipper from last year. The French call the vintage stores dépôts-vente, I've found good items in all of these places:

Come on Eileen
16 rue des Taillanders 75011

Depot Vente de Buci-Bourbon

Hi Vintage people. After years of working in the USA, UK and Italy as Obama says we feel it's time for change.
The old ways are burnt out. Now it's time for conservation, re-use to re-cycle the things we have and that includes Vintage Clothing.
Letty and I have started up a Global Blog.
www.fineeuropeanvintageclothing.blogspot.com
we welcome people to contribute to it, dissagree or develope our thoughts and at the same time leave their Web Site so our Blog could become a platform for all Vintage people.
With Vintage you can be anyone or anything you want to be!

Hi, I'm from Australia too, but I come to Paris often. I'm not too much the person that has a very 'individual' style, but I really would like to fund nice vintage clothing for really cheap, any of these shops in particular fit my requirements? Thanks very much, i absolutely love freepstar!

I was told there was an area in Paris with vintage wholesalers. Does anybode know where this is or if it's true? I'm looking for a European wholesaler at the moment as getting vintage wholesale from the States is very expensive.
