Musée du Louvre
Pamela Price writing for I V Y Paris
I once read somewhere that museums in big cities like Paris and New York were the number one "pick-up" spots, especially if you want to talk about the latest exhibition over a cup of coffee with a complete stranger.
If you're a college student under 25 years-old and you can't seem to find someone who shares the same passion as you (say for example...Art History), put on your best outfit and head to the Louvre on Friday night.
After 6 p.m. the Louvre is free for students under 25 who carry a student I.D.
It's quite magical when you walk into one of the rooms and the lights are turned down low. When it's not crowded you feel as if you're in a toy store late at night; at any moment the Winged Victory of Samothrace may begin to flap her wings. But really, if you're a student I urge you to make a date with the Louvre on a Friday night.
