Sequence... Dancers... Cabarets, Oh My!

Pamela Price writing for I V Y Paris
We are all familiar with the popular spectacle known as the New York City Rockettes, as well as the Parisian Moulin Rouge cabaret dancers. Did you ever wonder where else you could catch a plethora of five-foot-seven dancers wrapped in feathers and sparkles? No worries, if you can't book a flight to the Big Apple or you don't feel like truckin' on the metro to Pigalle, there are two other extraordinary venues that provide similar zesty neon performances.

Lido and Le Crazy Horse are both located on the grand Champs-Elysées. Lido has been compared to the cabarets of Las Vegas, except the Parisian dancers have remained natural, without the silicone and plastic features. Nothing can compare to the classic can-can of Le Moulin Rouge, but Lido is a strong competition with its majestic collection of costumes.
CrazyhorseLe Crazy Horse sounded more like a bar name to me but it turned out to be a more unique cabaret setting, different from the others. You can get a taste of their flavor by visiting the tech-savy website. There performances are more of an experimental kind, with new design aspects and choreography. Of course, nudity goes hand-in-hand with cabarets and burlesque extravaganzas. It wouldn't be Paris without the sensuality, nudity, and fashion all in one soirée.
