"Engagement with change" - Chez Grace Teshima
I V Y paris readers are invited to an exhibition of Californian (Paris based) painter Susan Watson's latest work. The vernissage willl be held at the gallery of Abbesses' most popular hostess, Grace Teshima, Thursday 13th March or by appointment later direct with Grace.
You will remember Susan's work from the October I V Y paris show at the Carrousel du Louvre as the vibrant abstracts which were positioned at the entrance to the show. Over a balon of rouge, Susan told I V Y paris;
"I have been working on this collection in Paris since April of 2007. I was provoked by the words of Rudolf Steiner who said "I think that there is an understanding between color and the soul". He felt that the mission of the arts was to bring humanity closer to the spiritual world and I began to find that it was true for me as the painter. For me personally it has been a great lesson in discovering a new space within myself where I can enter "the zone", lose track of time, and let the painting paint me while I paint it. I can "be here now" and see what unfolds. This vernissage affords me the wonderful opportunity to share a bit of myself through my art....".
Congratulations Susan and Bon Expo!
