Hôtel Particulier Montmartre

Shakespeare_16 In a hyper-secret passageway in the heart of the Butte Montmartre our intrepid hotel sleuth was even flummoxed. She couldn't find it and thought it must have closed down. It's THAT Discreet.

This hotel (in a house that once belonged to the Hermés family) features five suites (4 junior (390 euros), one deluxe) and two large bedrooms by renowned contemporary artists; owner and manager Morgane Rousseau is a well-known curator.

In the rooms themselves we have wallpaper with plant illustrations produced from a photo by Martine Aballéa, an ingenious installation by Pierre Fichefeux which enables guests to record a message for the next guests, and a display of poems and hats by Olivier Saillard among other things.

Classic movies and art books are available to borrow from the library downstairs.

It's also possible to rent the whole hotel.  Now wouldn't that be fun.
