Le China
In the Bastille there are many great bars but a dearth of slightly more, shall we say, glossy drinkeries. Le China's colonial décor reminicent of 1930's Shanghai and a beautifully lit interior make this perfect for intimate and mildly fancy rendezvous.
Re-vamped by Jean-François Roux, (owner of Chez Janou by Place des Vosges) "Le China" (aka The China Club) has great cocktails and a Franco-Asian fusion resto upstairs.

Bad news. Its website says that it has closed down. :( Big shame, as it was a great place.

The China club closed down, and has been replaced by "Le China." Confusing name switch but the place is still there.
