Xuan-Thu Nguyen: Scented with Style
Daniel Scheffler writing for I V Y paris

Rediscovering beauty every day, every time feeling lost and somewhat troubled finding beauty and roistering in it. It saves me. It can save you. The idea of beauty saves; aesthetic being the savior. Was it not Sophocles that argued this? Or could it have been the heroines of the 1800s?
The entirety of this concept can be visualised in the Dutch designer XUAN-THU NGUYEN whose haute couture collection at this year’s Paris women’s fashion week was more than a savior - it is a fantastical journey where fashion envisions and wants to flow.
Flowers basking you in shade, balls of twine protecting and nurturing you. Valleys of gold and understandings of silk, the clothes floating around women and "bouqueting" together in a stylish and sophisticated newness of colour and shape.
View the shop at 1 Rue Ferdinand Duval, 75003 and checkout their fall/winter collection.
