you find all the stuff you would only ever work out by finding old photocopied leaflets in the "Accueil". Foires, vide grenier,talks, readings, concerts and events happening in your neighbourhood. All the associations in your neighbourhood (Vie Associative) http://www.mairie1.paris.fr/mairie1/jsp/site/Portal.jsp?page_id=26 . Also sports groups, cheap yoga, capoeira, very cheap language classes information on artist's open days etc etc. Plus all the usual administration stuff that of course is imperative to know about yer life, here in France.
